What is an excessive number of finished ends?

Typically, we think of “excessive” as more than usual.  Usually, we get finished ends on both sides of stand alone cabinets, at the ends of runs, on exposed cabinets and portions of cabinets, and any area where the surface will be seen when the installation is complete.  Obvious, right?

The number of ends is usually some percentage of the total number of ends on an order.  However, when someone’s order is one cabinet finished both sides, then 100% of the ends on that order are finished.  Usually only a small percentage of the cabinets on an order require finishing the ends.  More than a small percentage of the cabinets on any given order requiring finishing would therefore be defined as “excessive”.

A $5 per item charge will apply to only those components deemed “excessive”.
